Fire & Ice January 2010

We've found the kids fit perfectly in these sleds. Last year we put Hunter's carseat in and he fit perfectly and stayed toasty warm. It makes life so much easier for us to pull the boys around the ice and look at the different sculptures people have made from snow. Of course for some reason we didn't get pictures of sculptures but rather the boys sledding and hanging out!

We got a good workout pulling the kids up the hill and then they had a great time going down. Funny as it may seem the highlight was if they tipped over at the bottom. Sometimes I thought they tried to wreck on purpose.

Check out that muddy gross snow! Hunter was having a blast eating away. Didn't matter how many times we tried to stop him he went right back to eating away.

The boys had a great time. Hunter was rolling the the mud, I was freaking out and I think that would make him want to get in that mud even more.

Memorial Weekend Camping 2009

Every year we go camping for Memorial weekend. The last couple years we have had the best spot and the kids have a blast. There is quite a crowd by the time everyone get's there. Mitch's family and some of mine all show up and everyone has a great time.

The weekend before we went up and cleaned up around were we would be camping. The kids had a great time riding their bikes and playing with each other. Of course with our luck Hunter came home with a tick. I freaked out when I was undressing him and found the dang thing. I had to hold the poor kid down while Mitch heated up a nail and burned the dang thing out.

After the tick incident the weekend before I was a little scared for Hunter to be down and rolling around again. The back pack was the answer to that problem. The only problem was that Hunter didn't last long in it, he wanted down to play with the other kids.

I've decided the boys have a great time whenever we are out in the mountain. We took a bazillion toys for them to play with and they find logs and such to play with.

Hunter wanted to get on that bike and go. He had just started walking and was trying to explore all the new stuff he couldn't get to before.

It's so fun to see the boys play and interact with each other. I hope they are the best of buddies when they get older.

After a long day of playing the boys were both ready for naps. It's a given anytime we put Hunter in his carseat in the rhino he falls asleep. Houston on the other hand falls asleep just about anywhere.(he must take after his mom)

A few years back after camping once in a tent with Houston I was done with roughing it. Kids require entirely way to much stuff to haul in a tent. Our home away from home is way nice. Everything stays in the trailer so when we decide to camp we throw in food and go.

Just a few more pictures of the boys that I love. They both are just so happy and content in the mountains.

Christmas 2009

This was our year to be in Ely for Christmas. I just love this time of year, all the family gettting together. Although it's very hard being away from my own family I'm glad I have such a great Husband and in-laws to share this time with.

This year I decided the kids get way to much. I made all the kids on mine and Mitch's side all matching PJ's. It was so fun for the kids to open them Christmas Eve. It was a task trying to get a picture of all of them, we finally gave up and this is the best we could get.

Aunt Ang talked a friend into dressing up as Santa and coming to suprise the kiddos. They thought it was pretty cool. Santa brought them all a toy, raindeer dust to sprinkle on the grass and then some snowman poop(marshmellows) and reindeer poop(malt balls). Thanks Aunt Ang for getting so creative.

Houston & Mackenzie are best buddies. It was so cute watching those two play together. We wish they lived closer so they could see each other more.

We had Christmas Eve in Mitch's parents garage this year. It was very nice to have alot of room and not have to worry about the kids destroying Grammy and Papa's house. We ate, played rock band and just had a great time visiting.

Christmas Eve Houston and Daddy set out cookies and milk for Santa. Houston insisted he would like Chocolate milk, mommy tried to suggest maybe pepsi was a better choice. You can see who won that battle.

Christmas morning was so fun to watch the boys explore each thing. Santa brought them a bouce house to share. Major hit for all the kids that come to our house. Houston got a power line and bucket truck!(daddy had to get creative, and did a great job) Hunter got a learning bike thing(to save fights when Houston is playing with his) They both got clothes and a few other things. One of our more simple Christmas's but one of the best.

Houstons 4th Birthday 11/08/2009

Grandma Molly came through on the cake again!
Houston is obsesed with Spiderman lately. Didn't even know he knew who he was. I tried to change his mind but it was made up and that was that.(the McVicars bullheadedness)

Uncle Cole was a good sport and dressed up as Spiderman for the party. The kids thought it was so cool that we had Spiderman at the party.(Everyone except the birthday boy)

Houston invited some of his friends over for the party. We rented the bouce house and the kids had a great time jumping and sliding. Mom forgot abou the time change when planning the party so it got dark and cold pretty fast. The kids didn't seem to mind.

Lot's of family and friends came to celebrate with Houston.

What's a party without the Pinata?? The kids had a great time whacking the donkey and then loaded up on goodies!
Houston had a great time opening presents. He has such great friends and Family!

The boys had a great time on the bounce house, we couldn't get them off of it.

Hunters 1st Birthday 06/22/2009

Our little Monkey is turning 1!!

It's a good thing Grandma Molly and Aunt Jody came to help me make the cake. Aunt Jody had to make things complicated, we had to make monkey cupcakes!

It took Hunter a little bit to get use to the whole dig into the cake thing. Houston tried to help but we finally gave up and gave him a cupcake. He dug right in!!

The 3 muskateers! These three love to be together. It's so fun watching them interact. Sometimes this involves being the referee but well worth the joy they bring!

It's so nice to have family that loves us. My family traveled from Utah and Mitch's family was here to celebrate with us too. They all spoil the boys rotten!
Present time! Thanks to the boys Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas our house now looks like a toy store. We could probably open our own Toys R' Us!
